That 1.5% card-present rate is competitive and worth noticing. The structure around it is worth noticing more: if you decline Lightspeed Payments and keep your own acquirer, Lightspeed charges you a monthly fee for the privilege. It is a soft lock-in rather than a hard one, but it is priced deliberately.

And note the per-register line. Multi-till shops discover this at the point of growth: the second till in the same shop is another line on the invoice, every month, forever. Under OpenPOS it is a tablet.
